03/05/14 Hump Day Hero – Bonnie Margolin Kathleen Jasper March 5, 2014 Today we celebrate a #BAT (that stands for Bad Ass Teacher in case you didn’t know) who is committed to fighting for better education policy. Bonnie Margolin is an adamant opponent of standardized testing and works everyday to bring awareness to education policy that hurts kids. However, she does’t just talk about it; she organizes and provides others the opportunity to speak their mind as well. Yesterday she hosted an event called Awake the State, a rally to bring citizens, local politicians and public workers, especially teachers, together to use their voices about issues that affect them and their families. For being a Bad Ass Teacher, an outside of the box thinker, and a purveyor of social justice, Bonnie Margolin, you are ConversationED’s Hump Day Hero. Congrats!
