01/29/14 Hump Day Hero – Janis Korkos Kathleen Jasper January 29, 2014 Most people don’t see the work that goes on behind the scenes in a school. We don’t always see the people who clean our classrooms, our hallways, our cafeterias, and our gymnasiums. Custodians play a huge role in student achievement and success in education. We want to honor our dear friend Janis Korkos as our Hump Day Hero. Janis, a hard working custodian, could be seen in the hallways talking with educators, chatting with students, and working so hard to keep our school clean. Janis died on Monday evening. We want to thank her for her hard work and dedication to the building she worked in and the students she served. Thank you, Janis. You are ConversationED’s Hump Day Hero.
