You are right, however, in saying it is ‘cronyism’. In fact both those terms aren’t mutually exclusive – mix them together and you get ‘crony capitalism’.

It is not. It is cronyism at its worst. With that said, the only way to get out from under the testing racket is to opt out. It is a parent’s right and a student’s right to opt out. It is a teacher’s right to make sure our students and parents are aware of their right to opt out.
