I was thinking the exact same thing when I watched this. Perseverance is keeping with the movement to end testing because it is wrong – keeping with it no matter gown difficult or thankless the fight is. Thanks for being here Bonnie. Thank you. I find it funny that he thinks it is a lack of persistence that leads parents to opt their children out. He says it as if the tests are too hard. He misses the point. Parents do not feel the tests are too hard. They feel the questions are invalid, the data is invalid, the results are not reliable and too late to be useful, the implementation is flawed, the tests are too expensive, and the entire accountability movement is draining funds from our public schools. The definition of persistence is the parent who sticks with public schools but demands better from our Dept of Ed.
